With Valentine’s Day fast approaching it is time for the organised amongst us to get a jump on the rest and purchase a Valentine’s Day hamper for our loved ones. This year poses a slight logistical dilemma for customers in that this year Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday, a non-delivery day for us here at The Complete Basketcase. So to add a twist to the romance, you are going to have to take delivery of your hamper or gift basket early this year and find a place to hide it. How exciting!
The team here at The Complete Basketcase love the approach to Valentine’s Day. Every year we concoct wonderful new gift baskets to cater for all types of Valentine’s Day clientele. For the special lady in your life that appreciates the bubbles you can choose from a bubble and bear basket, such as the ‘You're Sweet’ basket which includes a bottle of Sparkling Wine, a sweet bear and even sweeter chocolate hearts. For the sweet toothed partners we have many baskets choc full (if you excuse the pun) of delicious sweets for both the naughty and the nice. Send her a stunning gift box full of chocolate lips and hearts with the ‘Sweets for my Sweet’ basket, or for those that are more partial to lollies, how about a 1kg box of classic lollies from the ‘Lollyland’?
For our female customers that wish to turn the tables on their partners and surprise him we have baskets to suit every taste. You could go all out with the ‘His Yummy Favourites’ gift basket, full to bursting with goodies such as boutique beers, Cabernet Sauvignon, cheese, chocolate and even chilli nut mix! Or you could fire Cupid’s Arrow straight into his heart with our ‘Beer n Nibbles’ gift basket. Containing an irresistible combination of boutique Aussie beers and salty snacks, he’ll be putty in your hands!
Now on to the dilemma. It has been a hot topic for the past few weeks here at The Complete Basketcase as to where to hide your special Valentine’s Day basket in the lead up to the Saturday. The gender war has been in full flow as to where the opposite sex wouldn’t think to look around the house. Favourite hiding spots for the ladies have been in the cleaning cupboard (as he wouldn’t know where it is!), the laundry or for the ultimate secure spot, inside the oven! Our male contributors were equally humorous, with suggestions of “anywhere inside her car, as she never cleans it”; inside the tool shed or with one modern-male suggesting the cupboard where the vacuum cleaner is kept as only he does that chore! One thing is for sure though. We wouldn’t recommend hiding your Valentine’s Day gift basket anywhere near the sofa as if any of the above was mentioned, one of you may be spending the night there!
