Easter is around the corner once more and the team here at The Complete Basketcase have been busy designing creative new Easter gift baskets. We strive to improve our gift baskets constantly and at Easter it’s fun to make them even more egglicious. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist!) Now, while Easter is viewed by many as the perfect four-day weekend, its true meaning often intrigues others.
Here’s a quick history lesson. Christians celebrate many religious holidays, but Easter is the oldest of them all. It celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ and it is a major holiday across the Christian world. It is used as a time to reflect on the hardships and sufferings that created the holiday but also a time to celebrate.
Many people find the timing of Easter confusing, as it seems to jump around from year to year. This is due to it falling on the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the March equinox. This cycle is why Easter Sunday can fall anywhere between the end of March and the end of April.
Australian Christians can boast about celebrating Easter in their own unique way. In the Northern Hemisphere it celebrates the start of spring and new life, whereas due to our reverse seasons we celebrate harvests during autumn.
This year Good Friday falls on April 3rd with Easter Monday being the 6th. This may seem a long way off but experience tells us that like most holidays it soon creeps up on you. So now is a great time to begin planning that perfect Easter gift basket from our great range. For the dedicated chocoholics amongst you we have our flagship ‘Chocoholic Heaven Gift Basket’, filled with exquisite Lindt chocolate, buttery shortbread and chocolate dessert sauce all presented in a Robert Gordon woven basket. For those hoping for an Easter Eggstravaganza we have the perfect Easter gift basket for you. Two stunning gift baskets open to reveal a Lindt gold bunny accompanied by a raft of Easter eggs.
You’ll find an Easter gift basket to suit all tastes at The Complete Basketcase this year. Choose from our eggciting range and make it an Easter to remember.
